My school is a low income Title One school. A large majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch. My school also has quite a large number of students that are homeless or in the foster care system. My students adore music, and we have a large number of students in our "Morning Music Makers" group and Chorus. They are eager to play anything they can get their hands on (especially instruments they are not familiar with). They are so excited about performing and feel a huge sense of pride when they hear what they are able to accomplish and create through music.
