I work in a therapeutic classroom. They come to my classroom when they are struggling emotionally or behaviorally in their current academic setting. Their learning goals are to access the curriculum in their grade level while also learning therapeutic techniques and coping skills to be successful in school. My students have been home since the pandemic began, and adjusting to a school environment will be very difficult. My students often need movement and therapeutic breaks. While COVID is still happening, they will be told to stay in their areas, which will be extremely difficult for them. Standing desks, organizers, and sensory tools that can be given to each student to prevent them from spreading the virus will be crucial. In addition, I can teach more effectively using the technology tools I have requested.
