Most of my students come from impoverish homes where food is scarce and violence on the streets is everywhere. My students are surrounded by temptations that are not always good. Many of my students work to help and provide for their families. For many, school is way to escape while others see it as a gateway to a better life. Many of my students are the first in their families to graduate from high school. They are respectful and caring individuals, who appreciate a teacher that takes chances and believes in them.
