The games, sensory body sock, and musical instruments I am requesting will be used to address different target areas of development: language skill, gross motor and fine motor movement. The students will be expected to request which specific instrument or game piece they would like to have during choice time or music and movement. Language will be expected to include attributes such as color and size.
The flannel board will be used as an interactive tool to supplement songs and story books during opening circle, further supporting expressive and receptive language, as well as reading comprehension. It will support social skills development because the students will be expected to take their turn.
