I work in an elementary school and there is a lot of emphasis on reading, writing, and arithmetic. There is not a lot of time for art and creativity. I love art and find that it is a great tool to reach children in ways conventional methods do not. It is a way to reach students that normal methods may not work. Everyone has a gift, and often if it is not reading, writing, or math we are not able to tap into it. I want my students to experience the world!
