The larger rug will help the students be together as a group. Currently the rug we have is too small to fit everyone comfortably around the perimeter without having some kids left out. We spend the majority of our time on the floor using a classroom rug and a new, larger one will make this time more comfortable and allow for all students to be part of the learning. The learning easel will be a welcome addition to the classroom as we do not currently have one. The students can use it with their classmates during collaborative learning time and it can also be used interactively during instruction time; for example a daily morning message. A larger rug will ensure that all students are comfortable and able to participate fully in our daily learning.
