My Transitional Kindergarten students are children who are age-ready for kindergarten but are not socially or academically ready for kindergarten. Many of these children come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and don't have many opportunities. In our classroom we spend a large amount of time in play-based learning centers. Our main goal is to make sure that when the children leave our classroom they are ready to be successful in kindergarten!
