I teach at a public school in Miami, Florida. While I do teach Gifted Classes, a majority of my students qualify for free-reduced lunch. With recent budget cuts to our Reading program, I have felt the effect of not being able to purchase items for my classroom which would enhance my student's education overall. Largely, I am required to somehow find the majority of the means to supply supplies that go above and beyond the general education curriculum.
