I have a class of 24 eager second graders. They are excited to participate in writer's workshop. In the past, students have written and published paper books. Throughout the year they develop a love for writing and a desire to do more. Second grade is the perfect grade to foster this love of literature and writing. My second graders are smart and always willing to share their ideas and stories. Some students are drawn to nonfiction and others are all about the love of fiction. Their excitement for stories is contagious and I want to bolster it as much as possible.
