My students are some of the hardest working second graders you'll ever meet! They spend all day reading, writing, doing math, and definitely deserve to have fun while learning.
My school serves a population that is 58% Hispanic and 30% African-American. We are a Title I school with 87% free and reduced lunch. The majority of my students come from socio-economically disadvantaged homes. Despite their hardships in their lives, they come to school eager and ready to learn. No matter what their academic levels are, they always try their hardest and love to make me proud of them. They truly understand that education is so important for their futures.
