My students are curious, energetic, enthusiastic, and multicultural kindergarteners! They are happy to be a part of a very spirited 1000+ student school near Disneyland. They love to learn through singing and using artistic creativity to express their ideas. They love to perform for their families. Music and movement activities, role-play activities, and creating art gives them a more engaging learning experience. The use of music is a fabulous method for mastering Common Core State Standards across the curriculum. The use of music and role-play to analyze, process, and respond to sensory information is essential at this age. Participating in engaging, musical activities helps us practice language, develop stronger listening skills, aids in the recognition of patterns and rhymes, facilitates the development of confidence, and promotes cooperation. Creating visual art is ideal for understanding elements of art in our environment, communication, and to build critical fine motor skills.
