My students are an enthusiastic group of high school students. They are all anxious to learn, and when given opportunities to learn they strive to do their best. The school I teach in a high poverty area and the students in my room have a wide variety of disabilities. Their programming is based on learning life skills and independent living skills. The use of a refrigerator will be an important tool in teaching independent cooking skills.
