Learning to read is pivotal in first grade! Many students at this age are very active learners, and I would like to provide my students with flexible and movable seating choices. The wobble stools would be used at my guided reading table, and used to give students necessary movement while they read to help focus their attention to their learning. The floor wobble seat will be used for children who need to remain active at the carpet during whole group instruction. This will allow them to move appropriately without distracting others. The bean bag chair will be used for private reading time- giving students a comfortable seat to use while they practice their reading skills.
