I work in a collaborative class with both general education and special education students. The wide range of needs of my students require me to differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of each learner. My students learn best when they are able to participate in lessons, but I often find that I do not get to call of every student. With that said I am not always certain or aware of the level of understanding of EACH student for EACH lesson. I know my students very well and know what they are capable of, however, I would like to be able to pinpoint their level of understanding during each lesson to push them toward a differentiated activity that is challenging and at the same time achievable for them.
