Cedar Grove Elementary is home to 762 diverse students and families. There are 11 languages represented, with 39 students enrolled in the English as a Second Language Program. Cedar Grove is one of the largest elementary schools in the Toms River District. Mrs. Harxhi believes in the value of every child, regardless of their educational level or background. Our cultural diversity brings enrichment and understanding to the students and staff. Most of the English Language learners (ELLs) need intensive support in language and literacy development, and academic and cultural orientation. Besides cultural diversity, there is diversity of need. Several families are homeless staying at local hotels or winter rentals in Seaside Park. Cedar Grove provides supplemental services to meet academic goals and daily needs such as clothing and food.
