Every Friday, our students work together as a team to cook and/or bake different cuisine that corresponds with the lessons that we taught that week. For example, the high school class has been studying different countries each week. On Friday, the class cooks a plate that is native to the country (i.e. Jamaican jerk chicken for Jamaica, spaghetti and meatballs for Italy, Cuban sandwiches for Cuba). This fridge helps us house all of the ingredients needed to cook these plates. It is an essential part of the students' instruction in life skills. Our students look forward to cooking every week.
