I am the teacher of a wonderful group of 24 vibrant, eager-to-learn first graders at a Title I school in Los Angeles. Most of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of the students are also learning English as a second language.
Despite the adverse area they live in, my students come to school every day wanting to learn and work hard.
I want to give them the opportunities and resources they desire and are necessary to help them achieve whatever dream they have for themselves.
