My students attend a Title 1 school in a lower economic area of Southern California. Our students struggle with leaving their home problems at the door when they come to school each day. They are very energetic and eager to learn. In contrast, they do not have access to many of the tools that are required to succeed in today's economy. Our school and teachers are working very hard to bridge that gap between home and school. We are working to provide them with a safe, engaging environment where they are free to express themselves and learn.
