Our school is a Title I school with a 96% minority population. A large majority of my students come from very low-income homes, which gives them very little access to books. Although they have financial limitations, my kindergarten students are so excited about reading and listening to stories! When it comes to read-aloud time, my students' eyes light up and they become instantly engaged.
