We are an accelerated, second grade class with a focus on gifted education in all areas, but with a high concentration in language arts. My students are independent, self-motivated learners. They thrive on challenging texts and both fiction and nonfiction writing that stimulates the imagination. We tie all subjects into thematic units throughout the year.
