My project will consist of utilizing different household appliances and kitchen tools to incorporate a healthier lifestyle. We need measuring spoons and measuring cups, serving pieces, knives, toaster, baking sheets and more.
We will use Ninja System to make green smoothies for healthy drinks. The frozen fruit maker will show how to replace fatty ice cream choices. With the eclectic griddle we can show the students fresh new ways to make grilled cheese sandwiches with fresh veggies.
With these resources students will be instructed on how through weekly cooking courses to make healthier choices with the food that is provided from a nonprofit organization called Brighter Bites. We will incorporate math and reading skills with the measuring cups and processing new recipes. The kitchen items will be used to make old foods new again. These materials will enable me to show the students healthy options they can be duplicated at home. This program will change how the students view food and make for healthier adults.
