The classroom library is a focal point in the classroom and students should be drawn to it. It is an area that is used everyday for independent reading, partner and group work as well as a place where I teach mini literature lessons and have class read alouds. The book bins will create organized and attractive ways to see the wide genre of books I have as well as well as provide comfortable seats to sit and enjoy being wrapped in literature. Several of my students come to school with anxiety and self-esteem issues and having a mini escape may help to alleviate some of the pressures.
