My students are awesome! I teach fifth grade at a middle school, so it makes my classes unique. They are transitioning to more responsibilities, but are still young and impressionable. They have so many different needs and ability levels that it's impossible to simply ask them to memorize the appropriate steps to solve a problem. Hands on materials benefit students who may not speak fluent English or have trouble learning traditionally.
