Our school is in a suburban area. Each student comes from a different background and has had different experiences. Many of my students have had exposure to literature, but some have not. It is very important that these young learners are being exposed to a variety of literature every day. I have 20 kindergartners in my classroom. They are eager to learn, and love to read and write. My students enjoy choosing books to put in their book boxes for independent reading time. Every day when I am conferring with a student, I get to see their excitement about the books that they are reading.
