We will use these items as explores for students to see Newton's Laws of Motion and to calculate speed and velocity. Inertia, Force, and opposite reactions are the main learning points. We will also calculate speed and Velocity.
They will build the attractions and then analyze which law applies and then calculate the speed and directions (velocity). The chairs will be used to show newton's 2nd law of motion and they will calculate the force to move the chair down the hallway with different masses in the chair. After they have completed this, they will graph the data they collected.
