I teach at a Title I school in Houston, Texas with over 60% of our students who are economically disadvantaged. We have a very high limited English Proficient population. My class is full of diverse learners from many cultures this year. Funding to schools and specifically science has been cut drastically this year. My fourth graders are inquisitive and motivated learners. They love working in small groups with hands-on activities.
