Let me start by saying that I am so blessed to be able to spend 7 hours a day with greatest kids on the planet! They are 17 of the most bright, energetic, curious and unique 3rd graders! Although they may be considered "at-risk" and "kids of poverty", I do not see them this way. Each and every one of them come to school with bright eyes and open minds (with a little help from me in the morning...). They may not have it all but they certainly make me feel like I have it all each and every day. 98% of our school's students are on free/reduced lunch. We are considered a Title I school but we are on our way to being the #1 Title I school in North Carolina.
