My students are motivated to learn with hands-on STEM activities. Having more STEM activities, such as electronic flashcards, the Fraction City game and IO Blocks will help struggling learners in the areas of math and science become more motivated to master the necessary material and thus feel successful. The organizer and project cases will help my students sustain the materials over time.
STEM gives students a creative outlet to explore their world around them and to find natural applications and a self-selected authentic learning experiences for the material they are learning. Students know how to naturally play so this allows a kinesthetic approach to their learning. They take what they have already mastered (playing) and apply it to their learning. This is a win-win for all involved!
