During quarantine a lot of these kids didn’t get hands on instruction by being at home due to lack of resources. We may cover a unit in class and then we will extend the unit by playing with resources at centers. An example would be a unit over the zoo. We learn about the letter z, and then we will learn about several different animals at the zoo. We will take a field trip to the zoo and during centers we would get out zoo animals. The kids will extend the knowledge they have leaned while playing.
