Each of my five classes is one of two grade levels:10th or 11th. The three 10th grade sophomore classes are the most challenging because many of the students have limited exposure to working with the skills they will need to succeed, such as critical thinking, writing, and technology usage. Our student make up is largely Latino, and these students will work hard to meet the required expectations. My other two classes are Advanced Placement classes. Many of these students will also be first generation college bound, and their parents often have made sacrifices in order for these children to have access to computers or other needed materials, but there are some students who do not have access to technology. Materials at our school have been very limited, so teachers and students have had to find ways to work around using a lot of technology. My students would be relieved to have the sources they need.
