As we continue offering a quality education for students both virtually and in the classroom, the ability to communicate easily and effectively will go a long way in making a difficult situation more smooth. Each of my classes will involve teaching students from both home and the classroom at the same time. We will be working on problems that require writing out formulas and equations often, which would normally be done on paper. With the current regulations during the COVID pandemic, we are encouraged to reduce the use of paper as much as possible.
We are all at a disadvantage when teaching virtually, but the use of an iPad can offer a way to communicate lessons to all students equally. A class iPad with keyboard and pen will allow me to discuss physics and math problems that would otherwise be much more difficult and time-consuming. The kids love the ability to work through problems and share with each other their thinking. This technology can give that option for everyone to follow at the same time. Sanitizing measures between use can be quick and efficient as well. On behalf of my students and their families, thank you for your consideration during these trying times.
