The goal is to create a interactive bulletin board for outside of the classroom. Weekly several teachers on my floor have an interactive questions to answer focusing on motivation, critical thinking, and achieving high goals. We usually do this with butcher paper and post-its. But we want to take the activity to the next level. Making one side a chalkboard and the other side a lego makerspace for the students and math teachers to use as a tool.
With curriculum focusing on STEM, collaboration spaces and critical thinking this project will encourage and support all of these. With the creation of an interactive bulletin board, they students can interact with open ended questions on the chalk board side, while engaging in creativity and math problems on the lego side. Maker spaces and interactive questions have become a fun part of the classroom experience and help to encourage students interaction and creativity on our schools campus.
