I would like to purchase silent timers. Silent timers can be used in class when students are asked to be on task for a certain length of time. For students who have a difficult time focusing, I may ask them to work for 10-15 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. With these timers, students can visually see how much time is left and it does not distract other students in the room. They also help to eliminate using cell phones as timers so phones can be put away and not be a distraction.
