Students are never too old to be read to. These picture books will impact my students' learning by giving them the unique opportunity to laugh along with Rupert in 'Be Quiet', learn about historical events such as 'Henry's Freedom Box' and 'Malala's Magic Pencil' and learn more about stories from their childhood in 'After the Fall'.
Joining a special challenge for a book a day will offer my students an incentive to read and encourage readers and thinkers in my classroom! We are excited to take on this challenge and see what new adventures it will provide through reading!
Using picture books on a daily basis in my Jr High classroom will provide us with common experiences, exposure to differences, a sense of community and the ability to reference these texts throughout the year!
