I teach in a low socio-economic urban school in Southern California. Most of my students are new to the country, speak little English, and receive free lunch. Their parents do not speak English, work two jobs, and struggle to help their kids with their homework. Life is tough for many of my students. These obstacles, though, don't prevent them from loving to learn.
