My students are amazing. We have really enjoyed watching the presidential debates and discussing the issues presented during those debates. These students have a really good chance of passing the AP U.S. Government and Politics exam. However, many of my students lack the resources to be successful on that test. About 85% my students come from extremely impoverished families who are struggling to make ends meet during these difficult economic times. Their families unfortunately can not afford to purchase a review book which would help them be more successful on the AP exam. These students attend a low income school which has shown significant growth in their API/AYP in the recent years. They are driven to be successful and break the cycle of poverty that grips our community.
