My students come from a very diverse cultural and socio-economic background. The digital divide that we so often hear about is alive and well in our region. Our schools are not often able to provide the "extras" that many teachers and students in wealthier districts are able to provide. Our kids will be competing in the same workplaces and colleges as their peers in other districts. Many of my students have adopted English as a second language and seeing pictures and documents electronically would be very beneficial to their learning. We are a multi cultural mid sized urban middle school. Your support to their learning is very much appreciated!
