The books that I have requested will help my kids become lifelong readers with vivid imaginations and an endless supply of curiosity. That's the goal, right? I am using a new reading curriculum that has kindergartners engaging with books in new and exciting ways. The new curriculum encourages students to read a wide variety of books each and every day, which means our classroom library needs to grow! My students will use these books during independent reading and for partner reading following our daily mini-lesson. The books will provide the students with authentic ways to practice reading skills I teach during our whole group lessons, in small group, and during individual conferences. My students will also have access to the books to use as starting points for writing. Thank you for helping me provide my students with a classroom library that is full of rich and current books!
