I teach in a one high-school town, and one great thing about it is that all students are invited and encouraged to take the most rigorous courses we offer. As a result my advanced science courses are a somewhat heterogeneous mix of skill levels, cultures, experiences, and abilities. My students are respectful, motivated and engaged; teachers in turn are caring and supportive. Despite being a young school (15 years) we have tremendous school spirit and community support.
