My students attend a Title I school. Almost all of my students receive free and reduced lunch. They come from homes where three to four families are sharing a home. Although many of my students are not read to at home, they still have developed a love for reading. Each day they come to class excited to hear about the stories we will be reading that day. This is why it is so important for these students to be given as many opportunities as possible to explore their love for reading.
