My community of learners come from very diverse environments and yet are coming together to celebrate the individuality that each brings to our group. They attend a Title 1 school with many families living in poverty. For more than three-quarters of my class, this is their very first school experience. Yet, they are inquisitive and filled with awe by the simplest things. Five of the group are ESL and another four have an IEP. For the majority of my students, there is not a lot of literacy support at home. I want this group of students to have an enriched school experience that gives them a love for learning and creates within them a dynamic learning perspective that allows them to see the potential within us all!
