Our students are promoting exercising at least 60 minutes a day with the NFL Fuel Up to Play at 60 program. The requested instructional materials of foam playground balls, footballs, soccer balls and hockey pucks will be used to replace worn out and damaged balls. Students will use these items during recess and PE class to help them meet the goal of exercising 60 minutes per day.
The instructional materials requested will help students achieve Nevada Content Standards:
1.0: Demonstrate competency in motor skills, movement patterns and safety needed to perform a variety of physical activities.
Content Standard 3.0: Participate regularly in physical activity.
3.5.1: Participate in a variety of moderate to vigorous physical activities.
3.5.2: Demonstrate healthy activity patterns by participating in physical activity.
3.5.3: Demonstrate opportunities at school for regular participation in physical activities.
Content Standard 4.0 Achieves and maintains a health-enhancing level of physical fitness.
4.5.1: Participate in various physical activities utilizing the health related fitness components.
4.5.2: Explain the long-term benefits of participation in physical activity.
After almost a year and half of students being out of school due to COVID 19, students are now back in school and need to build up their cardiovascular activities.
About my class
