POISE stands for providing leadership, opportunities, integrity, success, and etiquette. This academic-mentoring program promotes academic leadership. Students in this program take pride in being academic leaders in their school. The treat resources provided by this project will reward students for their leadership in the school. Each student will receive a special treat bag based on their contributions to the program and the school.
The annual induction ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of the students and requires them to demonstrate their leadership characteristics. Each student will be rewarded based on their contributions to the program at four different levels: platinum, gold, silver, bronze. Platinum level recognitions represent the highest level of participation in the program.
Supporting the leadership of these students is important in maintaining the integrity of the program. Most students need that extra 'pat on the back' to continue serving their school enthusiastically. This project will provide the necessary resources needed to make this induction ceremony special.
