The calculators will be used daily by my seventh grade math classes. The world we live in will require that they have the ability to problem solve, and analyze information.
Having the class set of calculators will allow for students from limited math skill backgrounds to learn and thrive, without getting bogged down with number crunching. I ask students to use their thinking skills to analyze which phone plan is a better deal, or if Superman really is fast enough to save a space-ship about to explode. These calculators will allow all students to access our curriculum, regardless of their previous skills, or language barriers.
By donating to our project, you will help speed up the process of learning, and allow them think of big ideas.
