InnovationOC - The Dash robots from Wonder Workshop requested will be a great educational addition to our new STEAM lab that will serve all students in our school. We will use these robots to have students collaborate and solve challenges while coding together. Our students are very inquisitive, eager to learn, and work hard every day!! Students will explore Dash robots responding to voice commands while collaborating with peers to solve problems. Many of my Kinders have experience with iPads. Having the ability to use the technology they are already familiar with to design code and produce their own robot programs allows students to engage with technology(iPads) in a whole new way! The students will also explore and learn the block-based program needed to code Dash called Blockly using our classroom iPads. My Kinders will work with their big buddies and use floor mats to spell and record sight words, sequence stories, and other STEAM classroom learning activities with learning to code using directions
Robots are the future, so let’s give Kinders an amazing start incorporating while exploring coding and robotics!
Imagine the robots moving about the classroom along with the echo of the students' excitement and engagement. This project will #INNOVATIONOC
