We are a small school (240 in high school) in Texas, where my staff of five students works hard to capture every detail about our school year and publish them in newspaper and yearbook form. They do an excellent job, winning numerous publication awards every year while providing a tangible copy of high school memories for all of our students. Because we are such a small staff, though, fundraising is hard and camera equipment is expensive! Right now we have only one professional camera and two lenses for it. We are working hard to raise money to purchase at least one more camera so that we can do a better job of capturing memories, but we also need to improve and increase the accessories we have so that the pictures we take look good. My kids work so hard to keep up with current publishing trends and create an affordable, creative book for students, and it is so disappointing when we end up with pictures that have good content but are too dark to see well.
