My students attend a small school set in a rural community. Many of them will never leave the state and many are not aware of the opportunities the world has available for them. Several of them do not enjoy reading and one of my goals as a reading teacher is to ignite the passion for reading in each of my students. I want them to see that reading can open their minds to new places. I wish for my students to see that reading can open doors and lead to a brighter future.
