My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of my students come from military families where many parents get deployed. I also have several special education students, some ESL students and many from a low economic status. My class is an enthusiastic bunch who are inspired by "outside the box" teaching methods that provide life lessons and experiences that we take for granted that they receive at home. My school is a Primary school through second grade only. We have 13 first and 12 second grade classes as well as 6 Kindergarten rooms. Our staff prides ourselves on being a close knit group. We support not only each other, but our student's families as well. We have on many occasions raised our own money to collect rent for one of our student's families to keep them from eviction, helped replace items lost in a fire when whole houses of our student's have been destroyed, and supported families with sick family members. We love our jobs and the students we teach.
