We are a Title I school located in a tight knit community in National City, California. We have wonderful and giving families who because of their financial circumstances, are limited in how much they can help.
My students, too, are members of a close mini-community that we call "our classroom family." This year, we have really emphasized the importance and specialness of working together, celebrating each other, helping one another and just being a second family to our classmates.
