My students are all African-American with disabilities. They attend a public school, but receive Special Education for all of their core courses. They interact with the General Education students only for their "specials" such as gym, music, library, and art. I have students who are non-verbal. I have others that read, but only at a level that is best described as basic. We have one computer that works in my class. They love technology but lack the exposure they need to various forms of technology.
